Health Care Law a Disaster

No doubt this law will NOT control health care costs.

No doubt this law will not keep Americans from Illness bankruptcy.

No doubt his law will not cover all Americans.

No doubt this law will enrich Health Insurance CEO's as it has done their PR lackey's enriched keeping the public confused and misinformed.

No doubt the Democrats/Obama made a deal with the Health Insurance "industry" to keep Single Payer Medicare for all off the table.

No doubt this law  will be a checkmate move in the next game of Corporate Politics with Republicans shamming themselves as fiscal conservatives they aren't.

Nuclear Accountability/Colorado Style

Today in the Colorado State Legislature I had the opportunity to testify in favor of HB 10-1348 concerning increased regulatory authority regarding radioactive materials.  I did so as both co-chair of The Colorado Coalition (member organization of ANA) and as Green Party of Colorado, both of which oppose the Peter Pan Propaganda of the NEI which has put star dust around a "nuclear power renaissance."  There were folks there from Canon City (Cotter Mill Site which is the centerpiece of the bill), from Grand Junction and Montrose, and Fort Collins.  Three of the four most active areas for reopening mining and milling activities in Colorado were represented.   One of my former HS students chaired the committee on Transportation and Health:Jerry Frangas.  The bill was pas

Palestine/Israel Again

President Obama has quickly lost his spine when it comes to insisting that Israel stop the settlements in East Jerusalem.  He accepts the apology of Bibi Netanyahu for an untimely announcement but only calls the actual settlement building bad for the Peace talks.  And he equates this bad policy with the protests of the Palestinians about the settlements.  What?  People standing up for their rights in international law are doing something that doesn't help peace talks?  I would grant that  a suicide act of terrorism by an extremist could be condemned,  but to hold as equally unhelpful to the peace talks  the forced displacement of people and their protest of that same human rights violation is just adding to AIPAC propaganda.  It isn't standing up to Israel.  The USA g

On the Campaign Trail—March 10, 2010

Today I picked up the bookmark campaign piece to be used in the Parade.  I think it looks as good if not better than last time.  The Union Printer who produced them did a good job in timely fashion for a competitive price.   P & L Printing continues to be a great progressive business.

Why I am running

The major issue of this race is "Respect Life!" Not in the simplistic sense employed by those who use this motto to make abortion the litmus test for their vote. My chief value is about respecting all Life. Government should be about setting policies that insure we have life on this planet to the "7th Generation". Respecting life requires us to exercise judgment and discipline concerning the vehicles we drive, the housing patterns we build, the new jobs we create and the number of new humans we create.   Uncontrolled growth is the ideology of a cancer cell.

The Closing Statement

The two Corporate/War Party candidates, Mark Udall and Bob Schaffer have made their statements in debate venues provided FREE by the Corporate Media for the past two months.  Bob Kinsey, the Green Party Candidate has been frozen out of those venues, probably because he wouldn't and couldn't buy Main Stream Media time to tell lies or create images.  Here is His Closing Statement prior to election day in case you are interested!
Obama is no Progressive and McCain is way behind him.  But the archaic, undemocratic Electoral College dooms us to one or the other.  At least Obama has an education to which he paid attention rather than p

Mount Soule and Columbus

I attended the Transform Columbus Day event on Saturday.  It concluded  with a large group of folk participating in a planning session to forge a strategy to build a movement that is quite Green in its philosophy.

Undemocratic Colorado Democracy

What’s wrong with this picture?  There are four political parties in Colorado offering candidates for U.S. Senate:  Campbell, Kinsey, Schaffer, Udall.

Don Quixote Does The Polls

The Denver Post at poll at least shows Bob Kinsey in the Senate Race Poll on A21 of the Sunday paper.  There are some possibilities un-acknowledged in the basic fear headline, Udall's lead over Schaffer Shrinks.  The analysis by Karen Auge'  focuses on the point that "Udall Voters" have a 43% over 38% edge over Schaffer voters.  But the individual pie charts indicate that 29% of Udall voters and 27 % Schaffer voters might change.

Statement on the Financial Crisis

It's  the Economy, Stupid or Is the Economy Stupid?"
Statement by Bob Kinsey, Green Party Candidate for U.S. Senate in Colorado
October 4, 2008

"When the 1929 crash occurred some had a modicum of shame, a sense of personal responsibility. Some  even jumped out of 60 stories office buildings. Now they may just "pull" those buildings.    Today a 90 year woman who lost her home to foreclosure tried to commit suicide.  Paulson and Bush just try to keep their shell game going."
