My 2008  immigration stand was, ""They are here, and they are working hard. If they are granted legal status they can safely join unions and work for living wages."<

Denver Post does not serve Democracy

All articles so far about the Senatorial and Congressional races in Colorado in the Denver Post have been about who is raising the most money.   Interestingly they do not even say where the money

Green Vote is Nonviolent Resistance of Evil

From the outset our military involvment in the Middle East under the Bush Administration has been based on lies and resulted in evil.  Mohammed ElBaradei recently noted that it has resulted in the deaths of over 1,000,000 Iraqi civilians.  Much more could be said about our current confidence that violence brings justice.  Check out the video from Democracy now above.

Dr. King in his recently posted earliest TV interview made two comments:

"Violence creates many more problems than it solves"--Here proven.

My comments on the President's Nuclear Posture Review

Jim Hightower says the middle of the road is for yellow lines and dead armadillos. Voters and world citizens who saw hope in Obama's election with regard to nuclear abolition are deflated by his attempt to stay in the middle. Those whose jobs are dependent upon maintaining the nuclear terror have been appeased, the labs will continue to consume the national treasure developing new nuclear weapons technology instead of cleaning up their mess, and the underlying mythos that somehow these monsters make us safe — better to have them around until utopia is achieved — is given yet another telling.

Marijuana--Keep it Legal, End the War on Drugs

Marijuana has been shown to be a very useful drug that has multiple theraputic applications.  Several States, including our own Colorado, have legalized its use as Medical Marijuana.  This is not only beneficial but entirely within the power of the State.  The only power  the US Constitution gives  the Federal government is to regulate interstate commerce.  The States have the reserved power to regulate the growing and distribution of drugs created in the State.  Or so I maintain.
